What You'll Do
As a Licensed Residential Service Electrician, you'll diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and install residential electrical systems while providing homeowners with professional service and honest recommendations. You'll service electrical panels, lighting systems, outlets, switches, generators, EV chargers, safety devices, and other residential electrical components while ensuring every project is completed safely and in compliance with state and local electrical codes.
You'll perform electrical upgrades, retrofit wiring, complete safety inspections, identify code deficiencies, and recommend solutions that improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of each home's electrical system. You'll also maintain accurate job documentation, communicate effectively with homeowners and office staff, keep your company vehicle organized, and represent Precision Plumbing and Heating Systems with professionalism on every service call.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking licensed Michigan Journeyman or Master Electricians with a minimum of three years of residential electrical service experience. Candidates should have strong troubleshooting abilities, experience performing residential repairs and installations, and the ability to diagnose complex electrical issues while providing excellent customer service.
Successful candidates are comfortable reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics, have a thorough understanding of residential electrical systems and code requirements, and enjoy educating homeowners about repair and upgrade options. Strong communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program is preferred. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
