We are seeking a data-driven, culturally responsive School Psychologist to join our standby clinical architecture and on-site multi-disciplinary evaluation teams.

You will serve as a key clinical lead across our 100-student specialized special education pilots, evaluating and guiding the stabilization of diverse learners presenting with high-acuity needs (including Emotional Disturbance, Autism, and Intellectual Disabilities).

Your mission will be to provide an unbroken chain of objective empirical evidence, helping our instructional squads transition students out of restrictive environments and back into neighborhood placements.

Primary Focus - Diagnostic accuracy, timeline compliance, and Data-Based Individualization (DBI).

System Integrations - Direct backend data entry into district-sanctioned electronic environments (EasyIEP and Penn Data/PIMS systems).

Collaborative Loops - Maintain a continuous information sharing loop with assigned School District of Philadelphia (SDP) psychologists and multi-disciplinary teams.

You will be required to compile and yield comprehensive evaluation packets to district partners 15 days prior to the federal 60-day deadline.

Core Responsibilities

You will be expected to administer modern standardized psychometric batteries (e.g., WISC-V, Woodcock-Johnson IV) to determine eligibility constraints and baseline academic profiles.

Drive the completion of initial Multidisciplinary Evaluations (MDE), Evaluation Reports (ER), and triennial Re-evaluation Reports (RR) for high-acuity cohorts.

You will be expected to conduct descriptive and experimental Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify real-time antecedents, underlying reinforcers, and behavior functions.

You will partner with on-site Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Hub Directors to execute bimonthly instructional sweeps, ensuring lesson adjustments reflect data-driven progress.

You will review proposed IEP drafts to ensure all cognitive gaps identified in evaluation documentation match class-wide specially designed instruction (SDI) modifications.

You will deliver immediate clinical guidance and regulation counseling strategies to site staff following high-intensity behavioral safety incidents.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Pennsylvania Educational Specialist certificate in School Psychology issued by the PDE.

Must have demonstrated experience evaluating the spiky learning profiles typical of neurodivergent or severely trauma-impacted student groups in urban environments.

Proven proficiency executing bilingual or culturally responsive testing arrays to eliminate background linguistic variables from cognitive outcomes.

Ability to smoothly present data charts, evaluation reports, and multi-domain outcomes to district LEA representatives during high-stakes placement reviews.

Mandatory Security and Clearance Filters

In strict compliance with PA special education funding guidelines and safety parameters, candidates must hold valid baseline clearances before direct student contact or file inspections are authorized:

  • Act 34 - PA State Police Criminal History Record Check
  • Act 151 - PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Act 114 - Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Check via IdentoGO using PDE System Code 1KG6XN
  • Act 168 - Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Form releases from historical employers
  • Act 126 - Mandated Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training Certificate
