This full-time structural position is within our transportation group and also provides the opportunity to support other disciplines on an as needed basis. HZ's portfolio includes prestressed, post-tensioned and conventionally reinforced concrete structures as well as steel structures.Location: Dallas, or Austin, TexasEmployment Type: 40 FT HoursCompensation Type: SalaryRegistration(s): Registered Professional Engineer (PE License) RequiredEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)DutiesTechnical and managerial responsibilities are dependent on experience level.Apply prescribed methods and procedures in accordance with established criteria.Prepare calculations in accordance with applicable design codes by following standard engineering practices and procedures within established guidelines.Prepare detailed designs, plans and specifications for bridges and other transportation structures.Manage all project aspects including scope of work development, fee development, and subconsultant management.Assist business development and project pursuits.Interact and collaborate with clients, owners and other highway disciplines.Mentor and develop junior engineers.Implement Huitt-Zollars' Quality Management Plans for project deliverables.Key ResponsibilitiesProductively collaborates with PMs and other project TMs and leads or encourages task teams to achieve success and camaraderie amongst each other.Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives.
