Our client is a reputable Environmental, Geotechnical, and Civil Engineering firm serving the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Licensed Surveyor to support private and public sector land development projects in Eastern North Carolina.The successful candidatewill have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of surveying techniques, principles, and technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
  • Prepare plots, maps, and reports of the survey results, and share them with clients and government bodies.
  • Utilize GPS systems, robotic total stations, and other surveying equipment to ensure accuracy of measurements.
  • Collaborate with team members during the land development process necessary.
  • Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the state of North Carolina.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in land surveying.
  • Proficiency in using modern surveying equipment, including GPS systems, 3D laser scanners, and total stations.
  • Working knowledge of survey software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
