Beverly Animal Hospital is a private-owned, full service, small animal hospital in Beverly, MA, seeking a full time Veterinarian to join our team. Currently, we are a one doctor practice with a cohesive team who truly loves what they do. We have many tools that allow us to be progressive, including in-house laboratory equipment, digital x-ray, laser machine, a fully stocked pharmacy, surgical suite, up-to-date practice software, and more.

This position will be 35-40 hours per week and we are closed weekends. There will be no on call duty required, as our practice respects and values our employees’ personal/work balance. Job Requirements:

  • Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/ medical/ surgical/ dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care
  • Build relationships with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns
  • Able to communicate with clients, as well as supporting staff, on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive health care
  • Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs and patient records
  • Deal with clients and employees in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact and professionalism.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the supportive staff that will positively influence the level of care and service provided to the clients and patients
  • Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine

Skills and Basic Qualifications:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a licensure in good standing to practice in Massachusetts
  • Skilled in general medicine, routine surgery and dentistry
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics
  • Must have active listening, critical thinking, complex problem solving, time management, judgment and decision making skills
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth
