Schedule:

Job Description:The Overnight ER Licensed Veterinary Technician provides exceptional nursing care and technical support for critically ill and injured patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role works closely with veterinarians to perform advanced diagnostic, treatment, anesthesia, and monitoring procedures while ensuring compassionate patient care and excellent client communication.Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate nursing care to emergency and critical care patients throughout hospitalization and recovery.
- Triage emergency patients and assist with urgent medical assessments and treatments.
- Place IV catheters, collect blood samples, administer medications, and manage IV fluid therapy.
- Assist with emergency diagnostics, supportive therapies, and advanced patient care procedures.
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency and surgical procedures.
- Perform venipuncture, airway management, oxygen therapy, and other emergency nursing procedures.
- Process laboratory samples, perform diagnostic testing, and accurately document patient information.
- Monitor patient status, report changes in condition, and communicate effectively with the medical team.
- Provide client education, discharge instructions, and compassionate communication during stressful situations.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment and emergency areas.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred
- Experienced Veterinary Technicians with a minimum of two years of veterinary experience are encouraged to apply.
- Emergency or specialty veterinary experience preferred.
- Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
- Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, radiology safety, and fluid therapy.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment.
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required; multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
