The Groton City Animal Hospital is currently seeking a full time experienced/ new graduate Licensed
Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will provide high-
quality patient care and assist in diagnostic, medical and surgical procedures for large and small
animals. At The Groton City Animal Hospital, we are committed to providing the highest level of care for our patients and client, while also promoting a positive work- life balance for our employees.

Responsibilities
• Perform patient assessments and perform veterinary nursing care, including medication
administration, IV catheter placement, and fluid therapy.
• Communicate with clients regarding patient status, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures (radiographs and ultrasounds) and routine surgical procedures.
• Perform laboratory work, including hematology, serology, chemistry, urinalysis and microbiology.
• Monitor and maintain anesthetic levels and surgical equipment.
• Train and mentor other staff members and veterinary assistant students.
• Maintain and ensure patient medical records are accurate and complete.

Requirements
• Associate degree or higher in Veterinary Technology.
• State Veterinary Technician license current, and in good standing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and practice management software.
