Primarily focused on supporting our surgical team with anesthesia, patient care, and treatment

Here is What Your day May Consist of:
Providing exceptional nursing care, including patient restraint, catheter placement, postoperative monitoring, wound care, and bandage changes.
Assisting veterinarians with surgical procedures, including patient preparation, anesthesia induction and monitoring, and recovery care.
Monitoring vital signs and ensuring patient safety throughout all surgical procedures.
Performing diagnostic and laboratory procedures, including blood collection, urinalysis, cytology, and in-house laboratory testing.
Preparing and maintaining surgical suites, equipment, and instruments.
Administering medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
Maintaining accurate medical records and utilizing our practice management software effectively.
Educating clients on postoperative care, medications, and follow-up instructions.
Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients, clients, and team members.
Here is What You Will Bring to the Position:
Current New York State Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license in good standing.
3 years of previous veterinary medicine experience
Surgical or anesthesia experience preferred.
General practice or specialty experience is a plus.
Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced situations.
Compassion and confidence when working with ill, injured, or anxious animals.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to lift and restrain animals (over 40 pounds with assistance), stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
Demonstrated competency in anesthesia monitoring, patient care, and surgical support.
Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Dedication to maintaining an efficient, clean, and patient-centered environment.
