Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian Technician to join the team at our successful clinic. Schedule is 8AM to 6:30PM or 12PM to 10PM /4 Days per week. 
Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. If you are passionate about providing exceptional animal care, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities 
  • A licensed NY State Veterinary Technician who loves working with animals
  • An independent worker
  • Applies knowledge of drawing blood, and catheter placement minimizing patient discomfort.
  • Monitoring animals during surgery, keeping accurate records in surgery including drug sheet and anesthesia log.
  • Performs necessary diagnostics such as radiology and CT.
  • Monitor post-surgical patients
  • Take vital signs and administer medications
  • Fill medications, complete at-home dosage and discharge instructions for clients
  • Maintain and order inventory items
Qualifications
  • 2 Year Minimum of Veterinary Technician Experience 
  • Knowledge of animal care and handling
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment
  • Patience and a love for animals
  • A Team Player, excited to collaborate with others
