Why Join Pet Emergency Treatment (PET AK)

At PET AK, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, you'll play a central role in emergency patient care, collaborating with doctors in a strong technician team. Working in a rural or frontier setting means more autonomy, more varied cases, and a deeper connection to your community, in a state where wilderness is just outside your door and the pace of medicine is uniquely rewarding.

    In your day-to-day, you will:

    • Provide emergency nursing care in alignment with attending doctors' orders
    • Perform triage of incoming patients, assessing urgency and stabilizing as needed
    • Accurately calculate and administer medications
    • Conduct in-house lab work, sampling, and analysis
    • Place and manage IV catheters, monitor anesthesia, and oversee vital signs
    • Manage patient comfort, monitor recovery, and communicate progress to clients
    • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
    • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture

    What You Bring

    • A minimum of one year of veterinary technician experience; emergency experience is preferred but not strictly required
    • Veterinary Technician credential (LVT) or licensure, highly preferred
    • Adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to stay composed under pressure
    • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care, with a compassionate, energetic mindset and strong communication and teamwork skills

    Perks & Benefits
Benefits for this role may include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), retirement benefits, paid time off (including sick leave and vacation), short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance

    • Competitive compensation
    • Flexible scheduling options
    • Workplace perks like complimentary food, coffee, and more

    Location Highlight
Anchorage offers outdoor adventure that's hard to rival — miles of trails, backcountry skiing, fishing, wildlife viewing, and dramatic seasons with nature right in your backyard.
