The Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) is an important professional animal care specialist and a key component in the day-to-day medical care of the animals in the clinic and shelter. Responsible for daily care of all surgical patients at the spay and neuter clinic, assisting doctors and veterinary assistants with pre-, peri- and post-operative care of patients, general cleaning, and training others to utilize our patient care protocols. It is the expectation that the LVT will strive to keep technical skills and medical knowledge current and at a high level of proficiency.
