Veterinary Technician - Inland Empire Veterinary Imaging (IEVI)

$25–$28/hr

Full-time or Part-time opportunity in Spokane, WA

Schedule: Monday-Friday OR Thursday–Friday, 8AM–5PM

Inland Empire Veterinary Imaging is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! The right candidate will have experience and exhibit professionalism and compassion.

At Inland Empire Veterinary Imaging, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, you'll be part of a hospital established in 1999 that provides Diagnostic Ultrasound, CT, and radiographic interpretation services to in-house specialty services as well as an extensive network of referral partners across Idaho, Central Washington, Montana, and Canada. Our close relationship with Pet Emergency Clinic and Referral Center allows us to collaborate directly with specialists to improve patient outcomes, giving you the opportunity to be part of a hospital providing state-of-the-art veterinary diagnostics and care.

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Enter appropriate charges and drug information for each patient, and coordinate patient pick-up for anesthetic procedures
  • Perform anesthesia operations, including anesthetic monitoring, prepping and placing IV catheters with minimal trauma, intubation and extubating, and SQ/IM/IV injections
  • Perform blood draws with minimal trauma, and correctly monitor and operate fluid pumps
  • Perform TPRs, prepare laboratory samples, and operate in-house lab equipment and tests
  • Provide critical care monitoring, and recognize and report signs of patient pain, distress, and abnormalities
  • Assist in emergency services such as CPR, and scribe during procedures for our radiologists
  • Go over procedures, anesthetic protocol, and CPR with owners and what to expect
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture

What You Bring

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician
  • Previous experience as a veterinary technician in a veterinary clinic; specialty or ER experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of veterinary terminology and veterinary procedures
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with proficiency in computer applications and basic office equipment
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
