The Field LVN provides skilled nursing care to patients in their homes. Care is delivered following a plan established by the physician and the Team Leader/Case Manager in conjunction with the patient/family and in compliance with the California Vocational Nurse Act. The LVN works within the framework of the team.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Licensure/
Certification:
Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license with one year’s experience as a practicing LVN required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
IV certification documentation prior to employment or completion during orientation period is required.
Must meet all DMV requirements listed below and have adequate transportation.
Knowledge/Skills:
Effective communication skills in both written and oral forms in English.
Must have good organizational skills and be self-directed.
Able to draw blood, provide wound care, and educate patients.
