Job Description
A California-based healthcare network is seeking a new Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join one of their residential group home in Ventura County.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day or Afternoon/Evenings
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (with weekends and holidays as needed)
- Hours: 6am to 2:30pm or 2:30pm to 11pm
- Setting: Residential group home
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and controlled drugs in accordance with state regulations and facility procedures
- Monitor client condition, complete walking rounds, and communicate changes to the appropriate leadership team
- Document medications, treatments, nursing interventions, and incident reports accurately and on time
- Support client admissions, evaluations, physician rounds, appointments, and care coordination across assigned homes
Qualifications:
6+ months of related work experience
- Graduate of an approved Vocational Nursing program
- Current CA Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
- Experience with g-tube care
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
- Experience in a Group Home or Residential Care setting
- Familiarity with Wound Care, vital signs collection, specimen collection, and medication documentation
