Mission Community Hospital, a 145-bed acute care hospital in the San Fernando Valley, is excited to welcome a New Graduate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry team on the Day Shift.

Position Summary

As an LVN, you will provide compassionate, high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Physician. You will play an important role in the delivery of patient care by:

  • Administering medications and treatments
  • Monitoring and documenting patient status
  • Assisting with patient assessments and care planning
  • Providing patient and family education
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Delivering safe, patient-centered care to adolescent through geriatric patients

Qualifications

  • Current California LVN License
  • IV Therapy Certification (or completion of a California-approved IV Therapy Course)
  • Current BLS Certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
  • MAB Certification (required within 30 days of hire)

New graduate LVNs are encouraged to apply! Previous acute care experience is welcomed but not required.

Depending on the specific role or shift, employees may be eligible for additional compensation (Differential Pay) between $1.00 - $5.00 per hour.
