- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Shift: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
Required Qualifications
- Active California LVN License
- Minimum 2 years of outpatient clinic experience
- Current BLS Certification
- California IV/Blood Withdrawal Certification
- Epic EMR experience required
- Strong phlebotomy and IV start skills
Job Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and obtain/document vital signs.
- Review patient medical history, medications, allergies, and health questionnaires.
- Perform medication reconciliation and pain assessments.
- Conduct venipuncture, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and specimen labeling.
- Start and maintain IV lines according to LVN scope of practice.
- Obtain clean-catch urine specimens and provide collection instructions.
- Insert and manage male and female Foley catheters.
- Assist providers with urodynamic testing, PTNS, cystoscopies, urethral dilation, pelvic exams, and catheter placement.
- Prepare and maintain aseptic and sterile procedure trays.
- Administer IM and subcutaneous medications as ordered.
- Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECGs when required.
- Perform simple dressing changes and assist with wound care.
- Review and communicate laboratory results according to clinic protocols.
- Conduct telephone triage and patient follow-up calls.
- Coordinate pharmacy calls and prescription refill requests.
- Provide patient education before and after procedures.
- Document all patient care activities accurately in Epic.
- Float to other clinic areas according to operational needs.
