Experience with IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) refers to conditions that affect cognitive functioning and adaptive behavior (e.g., autism, Down syndrome).Co-morbidities are additional medical or mental health conditions that occur alongside IDD, such as:
Seizure disorders Anxiety or depression ADHD Diabetes or hypertension Mobility or speech impairments Other Mental Health Primary Responsibilities
Monitor patients’ vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) Administer medications and injections as prescribed Assist patients with daily activities (bathing, dressing, eating) Perform basic wound care and dressing changes Collect samples for lab testing (blood, urine, etc.) Maintain accurate patient records and report changes Help patients and families understand care plans
