Contract Opportunity

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Licensing Administrator for a hybrid opportunity with a growing multi-location organization in Illinois. This role is ideal for a licensing professional with experience managing licenses across multiple states and jurisdictions who enjoys research, compliance, and project coordination.

This position will support a critical licensing transition while ensuring ongoing compliance with state, local, municipal, and federal licensing requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain business operations and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage, track, and maintain business licenses across multiple states and jurisdictions

• Coordinate license renewals, applications, transfers, and amendments

• Research licensing requirements at the state, county, city, and municipal levels

• Monitor renewal deadlines and ensure compliance with applicable regulations

• Prepare and submit licensing documentation and applications

• Support new location openings, acquisitions, and licensing transitions

• Coordinate bonds, certificates of insurance, zoning, signage, occupancy, and related requirements

• Partner with operations, legal, finance, and leadership teams to resolve licensing issues

• Respond to compliance inquiries and assist with regulatory audits

• Maintain accurate licensing records and generate status reports as needed

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of licensing, regulatory compliance, or business licensing experience

• Experience supporting multiple locations and multiple states

• Experience managing license renewals and new license applications

• Knowledge of jurisdiction-specific licensing requirements

• Strong organizational, research, and follow-up skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

• Ability to work onsite in Chicago or Lincolnshire, IL three days per week

Preferred

• DMV, dealership, retail, real estate, manufacturing, HVAC, or similar licensing experience

• Experience supporting acquisitions or new location openings

• Familiarity with local, county, and municipal licensing requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

• Experience coordinating bonds, certificates of insurance, zoning, and occupancy requirements

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $35.00-$45.00 per hour, depending on experience

• Location: Chicago or Lincolnshire, Illinois office

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
