JOB TITLE: LICENSING BOARD CLERK

This position provides clerical support for all functions required of the Licensing Board for issuance of all licenses and permits under its jurisdiction, clerical support in the City Clerk’s Office, and clerical support for the Taxi Commission. The Licensing Board Clerk must have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, and possess strong computer and internet skills, communication and customer skills, as the individual with have constant interaction with the constituents, public officials, and other employees.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This is an office-based job in a dynamic municipal building. While performing the duties of the Licensing Board Clerk, the incumbent is required to: interact and communicate frequently with the public, government officials, other staff members and boards, and/or third parties transacting business with the City. Typically, the Licensing Board meets during regular work hours. Periodically, however, the incumbent may be required to work outside normal working hours to accommodate changes to Licensing Board meeting schedule.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Operates standard office equipment including computers and keyboards, at efficient speed; and move throughout the municipal building which may include flights of stairs. Lifts/moves objects weighing up to 10-20 pounds.
HOURS
Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week: 8:30AM – 4:00PM
SALARY RANGE:
Starting rate is $25.10 an hour
Annual increases up to $35.78 an hour
