Consider this opportunity:LiDAR & 3D Modeling Specialist / Survey CAD Technician - Primary ResponsibilitiesStatic and UAS derived LiDAR data collection in both interior and exterior environmentsAssisting with setting conventional survey control for static and UAS derived LiDAR data collection effortsProcessing of static LiDAR data sets, including point cloud registration, QA/QC checks to survey control, and general preparation for data extractionProcessing of UAS derived imagery to orthophotography, including QA/QC checks to survey control and general preparation for data extractionProcessing of UAS derived aerial LiDAR data sets, including trajectory processing, QA/QC checks to survey control, point cloud data classification and general preparation for data extractionData extraction from orthophotography and point cloud data sets, including 2D planimetric features, 3D topography, and BIM modeling (including architectural, structural and MEP elements)Reviewing assigned project files for necessary materials and information to carry out project scope and drafting tasks.Providing thorough analysis of field notes, legal descriptions, title easements, design plans, utility plans and construction layout notes.Developing an understanding of surveying concepts, our company business and how surveying is integrated into plans and projects, Transportation Plats, Condominium Plats, Subdivision Plats, legal descriptions and other survey exhibits.Other duties as assignedLiDAR & 3D Modeling Specialist / Land Survey CAD Technician - BenefitsraSmith has a strong history of maintaining a people-oriented culture that provides a great work-life balance and a highly competitive compensation and benefit package.
