Responsibilities:
- Respond to initial inquires concerning death, waiver of premium and disability income claims. Mail appropriate forms.
- Request supplemental data such as physical examinations, hospital records and inspection reports to determine liability on health claims.
- Review documents and approve death, disability, and waiver claims for payment within defined limits. Refer non-routine claims to supervisor and manager for approval.
- Create records for supplemental contracts, annuity payments and other settlement options and related tax records.
- Verify tax information and calculations and prepare tax documents.
- Correspond with members, beneficiaries, hospitals, doctors, employer, attorneys, financial representatives, home office departments and others concerning claims, settlement options, tax law requirements and other claim processes.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Modern Woodmen plans, riders, clauses, assignments, and settlement options as well as tax laws pertaining to these items.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and administrative skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently while contributing as a proactive, collaborative team member.
What we offer:
- Pay: The hourly pay for this position is $20.50. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employment-based sponsorship. - Work Arrangements: This is a full-time office focused, hourly position: 5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7 a.m.-9 a.m. Office focused positions work on-site due to the nature of the work and have limited remote days.
