Sandhills Financial Group is looking for a licensed or license-track life insurance agent ready to build something that's actually theirs. This is a 100% commission, 1099 independent contractor position — you control your schedule, your client relationships, and how you grow your book of business. No punch clock, no micromanaging, no cap on what you can earn.
We provide company-generated leads for your first 4 weeks so you can get real reps in and start building momentum without starting completely cold. After that, you'll be growing your own pipeline with the training and support to do it well.
What You'll Do
Meet with clients (by phone, video, or in person) to assess their life insurance needs
Present and recommend appropriate life insurance products
Manage your own sales pipeline and client relationships
Complete required licensing and carrier appointments (we'll guide you through this if you're not yet licensed)
Attend optional training and team check-ins to sharpen your skills
Compensation Details
100% commission-based; no base salary or guaranteed hourly wage
Paid per policy placed, per carrier commission schedules
Company-generated leads for your first 4 weeks
As a 1099 independent contractor, you're responsible for your own taxes, schedule, and business expenses — you are not an employee of Sandhills Financial Group
Who This Is For
Newly licensed or license-track agents looking for real mentorship and a place to grow
Experienced agents looking for more autonomy and a better commission structure
Career changers who are self-motivated, coachable, and want ownership over their income and schedule
No insurance experience required — but you should be comfortable in a role where your effort determines your results.
What Sandhills Financial Group Offers
Real flexibility: build your schedule around your life, not the other way around
Hands-on mentorship and training, especially in your first weeks
A team environment without a corporate 9-5 structure
Optional office space available (state-dependent) if you ever want a place to work outside your home
A path to build a business you actually own — not just a job
Requirements
Life insurance license (or willingness to obtain one — we'll help point you in the right direction)
Reliable phone/internet access for remote client meetings
Self-motivated and comfortable managing your own schedule and pipeline
Must be eligible to work as an independent contractor in the U.S.
