Description
Job Description:
At Sandhills Financial Group, we help ambitious sales professionals make the leap from earning a paycheck to building something that's actually theirs. If you're tired of a rigid schedule dictating your life, or you've hit a ceiling in a traditional sales role, this might be your next move.
We're looking for a Life Insurance Sales Agent to join our North Carolina team. This is a 1099, commission-based role — which means your schedule is genuinely yours to set, and your income reflects the effort and skill you bring to the table. No punch clock. No micromanaging. You build your book of business, your way, with real support behind you.
What you'll do:
Meet with prospective clients to understand their financial protection needs and recommend appropriate life insurance products
Build and manage your own pipeline of leads and referrals
Maintain ongoing relationships with clients to support policy reviews and updates
Stay current on product offerings, underwriting guidelines, and state licensing requirements
Requirements
What we're looking for:
An active life insurance license (or willingness to obtain one — we can point you toward resources)
Strong communication skills and comfort with a sales-driven, self-directed role
Self-starters who want ownership over their schedule and their results — experienced agents and career changers are both welcome
Coachability — we invest heavily in training, and agents who lean into it tend to do best
Benefits
What Sandhills Financial Group offers:
Hands-on mentorship and structured onboarding, not a sink-or-swim setup
A commission structure that rewards production, with no cap on what you can earn
A supportive team culture built around helping each other grow, not just hitting individual numbers
The independence of running your own book of business, backed by an agency that wants to see you succeed
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Compensation is commission-based, tied directly to production — there is no guaranteed salary.
