Life Science Senior Project Manager North Jersey

A well-established construction firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex life sciences and pharmaceutical construction projects throughout North Jersey. This individual will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout while managing project teams, client relationships, budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.

Description

Lead pharmaceutical and life sciences projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, and overall financial performance.

Oversee Project Managers, APMs, Project Engineers, and field teams.

Lead client, architect, engineer, and subcontractor meetings.

Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation.

Coordinate closely with Superintendents to maintain project schedules.

Review drawings and specifications for constructability and coordination.

Oversee subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, and contract negotiations.

Manage construction activities within active and occupied facilities.

Identify project risks and develop solutions to maintain schedule and budget.

Maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Oversee commissioning, turnover, punch list, and project closeout.

Profile

10+ years of commercial construction experience.

5+ years of Project Management experience.

Life sciences, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or technical construction experience strongly preferred.

Experience with renovations, occupied facilities, laboratories, manufacturing, or ground-up projects.

Strong understanding of MEP systems and technically complex construction.

General Contractor or Construction Manager experience preferred.

Strong project financial, scheduling, and subcontractor management experience.

Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software.

Strong leadership and client-facing communication skills.

Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred.
