Compensation

$260,000 – $390,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking a Life Sciences Licensing Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and other life sciences companies in sophisticated intellectual property licensing and technology transactions.

Ideal Background

3–4 years of intellectual property licensing, technology transactions, or life sciences transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience representing biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, healthcare, and other life sciences companies

• Experience drafting and negotiating patent licenses, trademark licenses, technology licenses, software licenses, SaaS agreements, research and development agreements, collaboration agreements, strategic alliance agreements, distribution agreements, and other commercial technology agreements

• Experience supporting technology transfer transactions, intellectual property commercialization, and strategic partnerships

• Experience conducting intellectual property and technology due diligence in connection with mergers & acquisitions, venture capital financings, licensing transactions, and other corporate transactions

• Experience advising clients regarding intellectual property ownership, commercialization strategies, and technology-related contractual matters

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated licensing and technology transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
