About the Role:
Stepping Stones Personal Care Services in Carson, CA is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Life Skills Mentor to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one mentoring and coaching to individuals in developing essential daily living skills
• Assist the individual with personal care tasks, household management, and community integration
• Develop and implement individualized support plans tailored to each client's goals
• Monitor and document the individuals' progress, behaviors, and milestones accurately
• Teach budgeting, meal planning, communication, and other practical life skills
• Accompany clients to appointments, community activities, and social engagements
• Collaborate with care teams, families, and supervisors to ensure consistent, quality support

Requirements:

• Prior experience in direct care, social services, or a related human services field preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic approach
• Ability to work independently and adapt to the unique needs of each client
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in social work or related field a plus
• Commitment to maintaining client dignity, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
