Description of Work
As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of beachgoers by preventing accidents, responding to emergencies, and providing assistance to individuals in distress. This role involves actively monitoring the designated beach area, enforcing safety regulations, and performing other duties related to maintaining a safe environment for all beach patrons.

Supervision:
Receives direction from the Aquatics Supervisor or their designee.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Lifesaving techniques, including water rescue, CPR, and emergency life support.
First Aid principles and practices, including the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
General beach safety rules and regulations.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong swimming abilities, with the capacity to cover long distances.
Ability to perform rescues and administer life-saving techniques, including CPR and first aid.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with the public.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety protocols and written instructions
Physical Requirements:
Applicants must meet the health and physical condition standards required to perform the essential duties of the position, including the ability to swim long distances, lift individuals in distress, and remain alert under various conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OLD
Certifications (Must be Current):
