Job Summary:
The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests at the water park, particularly in areas including a 4.5-meter-deep pool and slide towers. The role involves active surveillance, enforcement of safety rules, prompt emergency response, and providing first aid and rescue services when required.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain constant and vigilant supervision of assigned pool areas and slide tower splash zones
Monitor swimmers and slide users to prevent unsafe behavior and accidents
Perform water rescues, including deep-water rescues, when necessary
Respond immediately and effectively to emergencies, injuries, or distress situations
Provide first aid, CPR, and use rescue equipment as trained
Enforce all water park rules and safety regulations in a professional manner
Conduct routine safety checks of pools, slides, towers, and rescue equipment
Assist with opening and closing safety procedures of pools and attractions
Communicate clearly with guests, team members, and supervisors
Report incidents, accidents, and maintenance concerns accurately
Maintain cleanliness and order in lifeguard and pool deck areas
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid Lifeguard Certification (recognized authority)
Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
Strong swimming ability and endurance
Ability to work at heights (slide towers) and in deep-water environments
Good observation, communication, and decision-making skills
Physically fit and able to perform rescues
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Preferred Skills:
Previous water park or deep-pool lifeguarding experience
Knowledge of water slide operations and safety protocols
Team-oriented with strong customer service skills
Work Environment:
Outdoor and indoor water park settings
Exposure to sun, water, and varying weather conditions
Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
Minimum Qualifications for the Lifeguard:
- Minimum of two (2) years of lifeguarding experience.
- CPR, First Aid Certification, various Water Safety/Instructor Certifications required.
Other Qualifications:
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes.
