Pay Rate: $15.30 - $16.00 per hour Key Responsibilities of the Lifeguard: Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety. Administers first aid to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises. Maintains amenities and cleanliness in changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers. Assists in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by the department manager. Enforces the rules of conduct. Performs pool maintenance to include checking chemicals and pool vacuuming. Checks first aid supplies and reports needed items to management in a timely manner. Organizes and monitors pool games at all times; suggests poolside games. Skims bugs and other debris from the surface to prepare the pool for daily use and empties the automatic skimmer. Cleans up and organizes the pool area at the end of the day. Maintains all necessary records as determined by the department manager. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Minimum Qualifications for the Lifeguard: Minimum of two (2) years of lifeguarding experience. CPR, AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certification Other Qualifications: Regular and reliable attendance.
