ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensure the safety of our guests and members by providing excellent surveillance skills, prevention skills, and follow through with policies and rules.

• Bartend at indoor pool complex.

• Cleaning of locker rooms, weight room, racquetball courts, pool area (on an as needed basis).

• Answer guest questions/requests about the complex and Woodloch in general.

• Assist pool manager with opening/closing of pools.

• Watching for potential safety hazards, and react to them, for our guests.

• Work a variety of shifts, opening and closing shift responsibilities.

• Answer guest questions/requests.

• Must be guest oriented with hospitality, warmth, and proper personality a must.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job requires no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

This position requires the following; CPR for the profession rescuer, Lifeguard training & community First Aid and Safety, and waterfront module of lifeguard training. Ramp training will be provided.

It is helpful to meet these physical demands to perform the essential functions of this job; vacuuming & brushing pools, moving lounge furniture, carrying towel bags, watching water, adding chemicals, and cleaning locker room, weight room and racquet ball courts. Occasional running and lifting may be involved in essential functions as well as constant climbing stairs and walking in sand.
