Responsibilities

Wekiva Spings Center is seeking a dynamic Per Diem Lifeguard to work 1 to 2 days per week for 2-3 hours per day beginning the week of Memorial Day. The Facility Lifeguard will monitor residents in and around the pool area to maintain proper safety measures. Maybe required to conduct groups/training to residents on aquatic safety. The Lifeguard rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers CPR/first aid; maintains order in swimming areas and inspects pool and surrounding facilities for cleanliness.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Lifeguard certification required.
  • CPR/First Aide certification required (May be obtained at the Hospital)
  • Good oral and written communication skills with legible handwriting
  • Ability to maintain information as highly confidential
  • Skills in dealing courteously with the public and other staff within the facility
  • Use of appropriate social skills, including demonstration and respect for staff and patients, empathy toward patients and skills in teaching or assisting with activities of daily living helpful.
