Job Description
Under instruction and supervision by a lead person, you will assist in monitoring and maintaining pool filtration system and adjusting water chemistry as needed to maintain standards. You will also assist in registering swimmers for swimming lessons and other facility activities. Additionally, you will officiate at swimming meets as needed. Furthermore, you will perform duties as a leader for lifeguard aid and other temporary employees.
You will assist in teaching swimming lessons, monitoring the use of the swimming pool and enforcing all safety rules. You will also monitor locker rooms and steam rooms. Assisting in implementing various aquatic competitions is another responsibility. You will perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks, such as answering incoming calls, running errands, picking up supplies as needed, selling tickets, collecting fees, and helping set up for classes, events, and any other duties or assignments as needed.
Responding to public inquiries about aquatics programs made by telephone, correspondence, or during public meetings is also part of your role. You will assist and monitor in all other recreation activities in-house or at any other recreational facilities. Maintaining records and statistics for various aquatics programs is another responsibility. You will also assist in the maintenance of the swimming pool, performing water tests for correct water chemistry.
You will perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information
Starting Hourly Pay: $12.00 per hour
Minimum Required Qualifications
A minimum of tenth grade education Lifeguard Training Certification First Aid CPR/RED Certification Must pass a swim pre-test

Must pass background check
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of experience on deck lifeguarding 1 year as an ARC Lifeguard
