This is work involving the supervision of municipal pool patrons for safety and health standards.

Jurisdiction Hourly Rate City of Mobile: $16.39 - $26.20 City of Prichard: $8.66 - $13.43 City of Chickasaw: $10.52 - $16.33 City of Citronelle: $11.84 - $18.93

Requirements Minimum Qualification Requirement

High school student with specialized training in aquatic safety and life saving techniques to include training in the administration of artificial respiration, and preferably a minimum of one year experience as a pool guard or lifeguard; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.

Special Requirement

Must possess a Basic Lifeguarding or Lifeguard Training Certificate.

Must be at least 15 years of age.

Must have a minimum vision of 20/50 in each eye without glasses.
