Position Summary

The Lifeguard- PT is responsible for providing supervision and instruction of various age groups in swimming and diving activities and for the safety of patrons in the swimming area. Supervision is received from a Pool Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 18 years of age; minimum six months related experience
  • Valid American Red Cross Lifeguard certification including First Aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer
  • Valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification
  • Reliable method of transportation
  • Professional attitude and behavior; responsible and mature
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; management skills and swimming skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Duties involve continuous bending; lifting; sitting; standing; carrying or walking; using force equal to lifting; tilting and pushing over 100 pounds.
