Overview:
WAGE: Start at $17.50 / hour - earn $18.00 / hour after completing our Lifeguard certification!
Oversee swimming areas, enforce safety rules, and respond swiftly to emergencies, ensuring our guests enjoy a safe and fun aquatic experience!
Responsibilities:
Supervise swimming areas and enforce safety rules.
Respond to emergencies and provide first aid.
Conduct regular safety checks and inspections.
Maintain cleanliness of pool areas and equipment.
Participate in training and certification programs.
Qualifications:
Current lifeguard certification (training provided)
CPR and First Aid certification (training provided)
Successful completion of StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Training (training provided), typically scheduled for approximately 24–30 hours over 3–4 days.
Ability to pass a Lifeguard course taught in English
Physical stamina and strong swimming skills
Capability to tread water for at least 1 minute without use of your hands
Ability to swim 50 yards using the front crawl (freestyle) or breaststroke without stopping
Ability to swim 50 yards using a rescue tube using the front crawl (freestyle) or breaststroke without stopping
Ability to retrieve a 10‑pound brick from the bottom of the pool at an assigned certification depth (typically 6 feet or greater).
20/20 vision or corrective vision to 20/20
Willingness to get wet and stay wet throughout the day, regardless of weather
Ability to sit, stand, or rove for hours without a break
Preparedness to be test/rescue ready at all times during shift
Successful completion of all internal DRT (Drowning Recognition Training) audits
Willingness to receive Drowning Recognition Training (DRT) daily regardless of weather
Readiness to clean/dispose of bio-hazard materials
Compliance with wearing approved footwear
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to safety and detail
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
