Join our team of lifeguards and swim instructors to maintain the health and safety of all participants, and provide high-quality programming, while building relationships with members and program participants. We are seeking candidates interested in life guarding, swim instructing, and/or taking on a combination of both roles. This part-time hourly position is available at our Houser branch in Onalaska, WI.
Responsibilities:
Actively scan the pool deck and maintain a safe and welcoming pool environment
Enforce all YMCA pool rules
Respond to all pool emergencies and perform first-aid while on duty
Teach swimming lessons to YMCA standards
Communicate with supervisors, staff, members, and guests in a concise and positive manner
Details:
Flexible hours – part-time positions in either branch
Requirements
Must be at least 15 years old
Lifeguard Certification (for lifeguards only)
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification (for lifeguards only)
Must enjoy working around children and adults of all ages
