Position Summary:

As a Seasonal Lift Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of aerial and surface lift systems across the resort. This hands-on role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Seasonal shifts include both winter and summer lift operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual lift inspections in compliance with current ANSI B77 standards and manufacturer guidelines.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems on chairlifts, gondolas, and surface lifts.

  • Assist with seasonal setup, teardown, and testing of lifts.

  • Respond to lift service calls and assist with lift evacuations when necessary.

  • Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate service records.

  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including snow, wind, and high altitudes.

  • Collaborate with other departments (lift operations, vehicle maintenance, etc.) to ensure smooth daily operations.

  • Prior lift maintenance or mechanical/electrical maintenance experience not necessary

  • Familiarity with ski lift systems (Poma, Doppelmayr, Leitner-Poma, etc.) is a plus.

  • Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical diagrams.

  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and occasional nights.

  • Valid driver's license required.

  • Certification through NSAA Lift Maintenance Training or similar program is a plus (or willingness to obtain).

  • Willingness to manage other staff members after training
