QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working on lift stations, wastewater pumps, controls, and motors.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience reading wiring diagrams and control schematics.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus).
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides service, maintenance, and inspections to lift stations and related equipment.
  • Performs and assists in preventive maintenance, and repairs on pumps, gate valves, check valves, plug valves, generators, and their associated fixtures.
  • Assists in Vac Truck operation to clean and pump-out wet-wells.
  • Assists in the maintenance of instrumentation devices such as pump control units (PCU), telemetry control units (TCU), flow meters, level control devices, and gauges.
  • Assists in repairing and replacing electrical panels, fuses, switches, and wiring at lift stations.
  • Assists in troubleshooting issues that may arise in a lift station, including, but not limited to pumps, control devices, piping, valving, electrical, etc.
  • Maintains tools, vehicles, and equipment assigned to employee by their supervisors.
  • Responds timely to requests and work orders to ensure proper completion of wastewater and lift station repairs and maintenance.
  • Follows safe working practices and has a working knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
  • Performs after-hours/on-call rotation to respond to emergency repairs.
