Lift Truck Operator

About the Role

This position involves operating lift trucks to manage the movement and storage of materials. The role is essential for maintaining efficient operations and contributes significantly to the overall productivity of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Retrieve roll or bin location using designated systems.
• Determine roll destination and place it in specified locations such as bins or trailers.
• Ensure rolls are securely covered by taping any holes or loose ends.
• Manage lift truck battery replacements as needed.
• Operate dock plates for loading and unloading.
• Utilize cone systems to signal trailer status.
• Load and unload trailers on designated routes.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand on a lift truck for the entire shift.
• Capability to mount/dismount lift truck approximately 15 times per hour using three points of contact.
• Physical ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs., up to 20 times an hour for 8 hours.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Work Environment

• 1st Shift: Sunday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM; Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
• 2nd Shift: Sunday 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM; Monday - Thursday 4:30 PM - 1:00 AM.
