WISCO is hiring an experienced Light Duty / Hotshot Pickup Mechanic for our Williston yard. Day shift, typically 12-hour shifts, 5 days per week (additional days available if desired)
WISCO, a leading provider of oilfield services, is seeking reliable mechanics to support our light duty and hotshot fleet across the Bakken. This role is critical to keeping our pickups and support vehicles running safely and efficiently in demanding oilfield conditions.
About the Role
Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light duty gas and diesel trucks
Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections
Follow the preventative maintenance schedule established by the Service Manager
Perform routine shop services including oil changes, tire changes, and brake work

Job Requirements:
Experience as a light duty mechanic; oilfield, hotshot, fleet, or construction background preferred
Strong working knowledge of gas and diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
Basic diagnostics experience for engine, electrical, and drivability issues
Welding or light fabrication experience a plus
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or trade school preferred)
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
Able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and on uneven surfaces
Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and crouch for extended periods
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light duty trucks and hotshot pickups (gas and diesel)
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and drivetrains
Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with company standards
Perform routine services such as oil changes, tire changes, brake repairs, and minor suspension work
Follow the preventative maintenance schedule established by the Service Manager
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
