Job Title: Assembler
Location: Reno, NV (Onsite)
Duration: 7 Months Contract
Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.44 Per hour
Shift: 06:00 - 02:30pm - OT is 05:00 or 02:30 - 03:30pm
Job Description:
- Assembles products according to customer's needs, following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.
- Creates plan for assembly procedures, following specifications and using knowledge gained by experience.
- This position is viewed as skilled and is distinguished from the Product Assembler (Bench) as it requires more training and experience, generally one to two years, to perform the activities.
- Follows procedures for assembling products, handling products, equipment and materials per the production department and company's quality system procedures
- Reviews shop operations packets, Bills-of-Materials and engineering drawings to ensure that incoming materials to be assembled are correct as to specified quantity/quality/part number
- Based on production specifications and/or Team Leader’s instructions, selects parts, tools, and equipment required for quality mechanical assembly production
- Inspects and dimensionally checks production to ensure assembled output meets requirements
- Utilizes properly calibrated precision measuring instruments when performing inspections
- Informs the Team Leader of any operating, material, or parts condition that would interfere with production quality or quantity
- Performs routine operator maintenance and operational checks on all tools and equipment utilized
- Segregates and periodically disposes of scrap and recycled material into approved collection containers
- Operates appropriate equipment required to move materials into, around, or out of the department
- Maintains an accurate record of all work performed in the appropriate company format
- Follows all 5S practices and supports lean activities, as well as safety regulations, policies and procedures
- Operates overhead bridge and jib style cranes safely and effectively
- Uses both powered and non-powered cranes to lift large cumbersome components and valves
Must Haves:
- 2 plus years’ experience working as an assembler
- Ability to follow blueprints
- Ability to use both powered and non-powered cranes to lift large cumbersome components and valves
- Attendance and accountability
- Attention to detail
- Industrial experience
