Install chuck jaws, hang tooling, and touch off tools as specified by the set-up sheet
Download CNC programs to the machine tool
Make minor offsets as required to ensure that production conforms to requirements
Identify and change inserts as specified by the set-up sheet, supervisor, or cell leader
Handle components in the proper manner to prevent damage to critical surfaces
Achieve production standards identified as the rate
Produce components that meet or exceed drawing specifications
Use basic shop math to calculate offsets and properly complete timecards
Ability to properly identify non-conforming product and properly complete a Client form
Pull and replace tooling as required to the proper location
Properly use basic shop gages to accurately measure machined components, including but not limited to thread plug and ring gages, micrometers, calipers, height stands, etc.
Edit or make minor program changes as required with direction and supervision
Visually inspect components for conformance to drawing requirements
Second operation drilling and deburr as required
Must Haves:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
3 to 4 years of experience as a CNC Machinist with a solid understanding of CNC programming
Must have a good understanding of blueprints and shop drawings and the ability to identify critical features
Must have a basic understanding of Inspection Sheets and Set-up Sheets
Must have general knowledge of proper speeds and feeds for various type materials
