Light Industrial - Machinist

Job Title: Machinist
Location: Tulsa, OK (100% Onsite)
Duration: 3 Months Contract
Pay Range: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour on W2
Shift: 1st shift, 6:00 am-2:30 pm with OT starting at 4 am IF deemed necessary. We cannot guarantee OT hours.

Description

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team.
• This role is responsible for independently setting up, operating, and troubleshooting a variety of CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce precision components that meet quality and production standards.

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual mills, lathes, and other machining equipment
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
• Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments
• Adjust offsets, feeds, speeds, and tooling to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
• Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Accurately complete required documentation and production records

• 0-3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in CNC setup and operation (mills and/or lathes)
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)
• Ability to read engineering drawings, and perform simple arithmetic calculations
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred but not required
