Position: Machinist
Location: Tulsa, OK
Duration: 3 Month Contract
Pay range: $20.00-$21.00/hour on W2

Shift Schedule: 1st Shift 6:00 AM - 02:30 pm with OT starting at 4am If deemed necessary. 

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist I to join our team. This role is responsible for independently setting up, operating, and troubleshooting a variety of CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce precision components that meet quality and production standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set up and operate CNC and/or manual mills, lathes, and other machining equipment
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
  • Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments
  • Adjust offsets, feeds, speeds, and tooling to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
  • Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Accurately complete required documentation and production records
Must Haves:
  • 0–3+ years of machining experience with CNC mills/lathes and ability to set up and operate machines.
  • Ability to read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and perform quality inspections.
  • Knowledge of tooling, offsets, feeds/speeds adjustments, and basic machining troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety focus, ability to work independently, and meet production standards.
