Duration: 3 Month Contract
Pay range: $20.00-$21.00/hour on W2 Shift Schedule: 1st Shift 6:00 AM - 02:30 pm with OT starting at 4am If deemed necessary.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist I to join our team. This role is responsible for independently setting up, operating, and troubleshooting a variety of CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce precision components that meet quality and production standards.
Responsibilities include:
Set up and operate CNC and/or manual mills, lathes, and other machining equipment
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements
Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments
Adjust offsets, feeds, speeds, and tooling to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements
Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area
Accurately complete required documentation and production records
Must Haves:
0–3+ years of machining experience with CNC mills/lathes and ability to set up and operate machines.
Ability to read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and perform quality inspections.
Knowledge of tooling, offsets, feeds/speeds adjustments, and basic machining troubleshooting.
Strong attention to detail, safety focus, ability to work independently, and meet production standards.
