Job Title - Maintenance Technician II
Job Location - Chantilly, VA
Job Duration - 3+ Months
Shift/Time Zone:    2:00 PM to 10:30 PM -on-call for 24/7 coverage in the building
State of Credentials Licenses Required:Must
Commercial flooring
Locks,
Painting
Drywall repairs
Plumbing tasks – Use of K-50, K-60, K-1500, etc.
Preferred
CFC – Type 1, Type 2
Lock-Out, Tag-Out experience

Position ensures that the facilities are kept in good repair and working order.
Responsibilities
• Serves as electrician in repairing basic electrical malfunctions of a minor nature and installing new equipment.?
• May work as a plumber in assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems; and in opening clogged drains. ?
• Acts as a carpenter in the alternation, repair, and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, screens, scaffolding forms, wood fixtures, and furniture.??
• May operate hand saw, planer, joiner, shaper, table saw, wood lathe, drill press, sanding machine, router, and electric drill.??
• Will maintain tools and machinery in good condition and use all tools carefully and as instructed.??
• May perform minor repairs to air conditioning system as directed and see to general maintenance of system.??
• Provides follow-up on all quality control issues.??
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned.?

Qualifications
Required Work Experience:
  • More than 5 years experience in general building maintenance

Physical and Mental Requirements:
• Good general physical condition
• The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.?
• Ability to stand and work for long periods of time.?
• Frequent walking and/or standing.?
Knowledge:
• General knowledge of various types of equipment used in the building trades??
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, and air conditioning equipment and codes.?
Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to work with hands and to work in mechanically oriented situations following instructions of a supervisor.??
• Ability to work with little or no supervision, given proper instructions
• Ability to follow instructions, given either orally or in writing.

Additional Job Details:
  • Need critical site experience with specialized skills in boilers, chillers, HVAC, Refrigeration, electrical, etc. as outlined in the job descriptions.
