Actual Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Operatoer
Work Location: One Drive , Hampton, VA, 23661
3pm-11pm (M-F with the possibility of overtime.)
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.
Receives both raw materials, tooling and production castings. Prepares shipments to customers and vendors.
Support of internal customers - IGT & HSC manufacturing, QA, Shared Services
Support of external customers Production Customers & Outplant Vendors
Inputs data into computer (scan incoming and outgoing product in Lot Trace system).
Ensures inventory accuracy for raw materials under Receivings control.
Pulls needed totes, crates, pallets in support of production shipments for Final Verify.
Operates standard office equipment.
Operates Forklift (currently certified FL driver),
Must pass Defensive Driving Course in order to drive company vehicles (including 26' truck).
Must be able to back in and out of loading docks with dock high vehicles (i.e. the 26' truck).
Prepares shipment to customers, includes packing parts, checking documentation, securing to
pallets, marking and weighing.
Loads and unloads local machining vendors.
Moves materials as required (production castings and raw materials).
Loads & Unloads trucks with incoming/outgoing parts and raw materials.
Ability to read and follow the information on work instructions (i.e. PCs or AIs).
Record data either manually or by computer as required.
Must comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines; this includes, but is not limited to, regular attendance and overtime.
Willingness to work weekends
Must be flexible with work hours to support company need or cover for folks on vacation.
Act and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
Lead by example in all areas of the job (safety, behavior, support).
Use their Help Chain for support.

Skill/Knowledge:
This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Employee must be currently forklift certified,
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
