Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Rainsville, AL(Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay Range: $15.00 - $15.00 Per hour on W2
Shift: Shift is 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with OT required
 
Job Description:
  • The Material Handler I will supply lines with raw materials and move unfinished goods through the manufacturing process utilizing a forklift.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures to include proper use of required PPE.
  • Operate a stand up and LP forklift safely.
  • Supply raw materials where needed in the production process.
  • Maintain kit carts where applicable.
  • Facilitate movement of product through the production process.
  • Adhere to receiving procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of parts and home locations.
  • Manage and consolidate inventory in stockroom and other areas as directed.
  • Maintain appropriate varnish levels when working in CV.
  • Safely operate various industrial ovens when working in CV.
  • Participate in physical inventory activities.
  • Utilize lift assistance to handle products weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Meet established efficiency and productivity standards.
  • Maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards.
  • Additional or updated duties as business demands change.
 
Must Have:
  • Ability to complete requirements for Forklift Certification.
  • Previous experience in warehouse or material handling
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior Stand Up Forklift operation experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
 
Physical Demands:
  • Working at a fast pace
  • Sitting, standing, or walking for long periods of time.
  • Manually handling up to 50 pounds often by lift/push/pull.
  • Working with the various distractions of a manufacturing environment.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching occasionally.
