Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate
Location: Rockford, IL (Onsite)
Duration: 3 Months Contract with possible extension
Pay Range: $20.00 - $29.09 Per hour on W2
Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Job Description:
  • Contribute positively to the safety culture of the entire organization and be specifically accountable for following all safety related policies within storeroom and shipping/receiving areas.
  • Be responsible for material transactions and shipping demands triggered by MRP and project requests at several stages during a typical work shift.
  • Interface with both MRP terminal screens and handheld scanning devices to validate accuracy of items received, packed and consolidated.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the storeroom and logistics department with other teammates to drive optimal processes
  • Participate in various training activities as required to ensure the latest clients systems knowledge is leveraged for supporting all material demands for the facility.
  • Kit multi-component lines as defined in MRP.
  • Support periodic cycle count audits.
  • Perform routine department maintenance activities including organizing, straightening of shipping, and receiving areas, and participating in industry standard 5S activities to ensure a clean, organized, sustainable and safe work environment.
  • You understand the importance and interdependence of internal customer relationships.
  • You make new connections and build relationships in other areas and teams. You follow through on commitments.

Must Have:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills including Client Word, Excel, Outlook, communications.
  • Familiar with using a handheld computer scanner
  • Shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with ERP systems
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
