The Assistant Lighting Project Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating all aspects of lighting projects from order entry to project closeout and managing customer expectations with the support of the department.What You'll Do:Oversees the complete lifecycle of lighting projects - ranging from small to large-scale commercial retrofits -ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.Serve as the central hub of communication between clients, vendors, and electrical contractors, managing the technical details, procurement, and site logisticsMaintain schedules with weekly updatesOversee multiple projectsCreate submittal packages for approvalTrack shipmentsSchedule deliveriesWork in a team environment internally as well as with customersProject billingGenerate and maintain change ordersSeek opportunities to increase sales/marginOrganize and manage documentsExcel proficientWhat You'll BringHigh School Diploma or Equivalent Required, Bachelor's degree preferredExperience with MS Office and Outlook requiredHighly desirable to have relevant experience, but not requiredA blend of technical expertise in lighting systems (LED, controls), project management proficiency (scheduling, budgeting)Strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors, contractors, etc.What We OfferWe offer a competitive benefits package that includes:401(k) planHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurancePaid holidaysVacationEmployee negotiated discountsWho We AreFounded in 1923, Turtle is a fourth-generation, family-owned, and three-generation women-owned business, and one of the nation’s largest independent electrical and industrial distributors.
