McKay‑Dee Hospital | Ogden, Utah
Full Time | 40 hours per week, Full Time. Clinic hours are Monday- Friday 9:00am-5:30pm, except Thursdays, which is 9:00am-1:00pm.

Intermountain Health is seeking a Limited Scope Radiographer to join the Family Practice Clinic at McKay‑Dee Hospital. This full‑time (40 hours/week) role is ideal for a patient‑focused imaging professional who enjoys working independently in an outpatient clinic while building strong relationships with patients and providers.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality diagnostic imaging that supports timely, compassionate care—often serving as one of the first reassuring faces patients see during their visit.
What You’ll Do
As a Limited Scope Radiographer, you will ensure safe, accurate imaging while prioritizing patient comfort and communication.
Essential Functions
- Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares patients for exams.
- Demonstrates sensitivity to patient needs throughout each procedure.
- Clearly explains procedures to patients and families to encourage cooperation and reduce anxiety.
- Addresses patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Performs radiologic exams that produce quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient and staff safety.
- Follows established protocols, including proper positioning, effective equipment use, and radiation protection guidelines.
- Recognizes emergent patient situations and responds quickly and appropriately.
- Accurately completes all required documentation, including timestamps and image storage.
- Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other care team members following procedures.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Pursues ongoing education and career development, particularly related to new procedures and equipment.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensure as a Practical Radiologic Technologist/Limited Scope Operator in the state of practice OR
ARRT Board Registry Eligible per state requirements - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
- Competency in the following areas:

- One year of experience in an ambulatory outpatient clinic environment
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
- For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
